All,
The first LPIC 102 Study Group will take place this Saturday, October 5th at 9:00 am. We'll be covering the content of Chapter 6 from the Comptia Linux+ Study Guide. The topics of the books are listed below along with the weight (number of questions on this topic):
Objective Description Weight Book Chapters
106.1 Install and configure x11 2 6
106.2 Setup a Display manager 2 6
106.3 Accessibility 1 6
107.3 Localization and Internationalization 3 6
108.4 Manage Printers and Printing 2 6
I'm looking at two possible locations: DenHac, located off of 58th and Washington or Strange Grounds, which is just south of Mississippi and Broadway. DenHac would be the preferred location but I haven't secured it yet and don't want to make promises I can't keep. We will also be broadcasting over Big Blue Button for those that cannot physically attend. BBB is a fairly simple web conferencing software and I will send out a specific link to the list for everyone to use along with the final location of the actual study group. If you plan on attending in person please let me know so I have a general idea of how many people will be there.
I would recommend everyone having the Linux Distro of their choice set up in a VM with a recent snapshot since we're going to be trying to break X11.
If anyone has any questions or topics they'd like to discuss with me off list, please feel free to email me directly or call/text me on my cellphone at (303) 895-6696
Thanks,
