Subject: [SFS] Study Group Week 4
The study groups for this weekend will be covering chapter 9 of the CompTIA Linux+ book. Chapters 8 & 0 represent a HUGE portion of the test, you cannot pass the exam without these chapters. If you missed chapter 8 last week, please, please, please read it and work through the examples in the book. This chapter covers the following items:
105.1 customize and use the shell environment
105.2 customize or write simple scripts
105.3 SQL Data management
107.2 automate system administration tasks by scheduling jobs
108.3 Mail transfer Agent basics
As always, the Saturday study group is from 9am to 1pm. You can join in person at DenHac (www.DenHack.org) or online at http://tcncraft.dyndns.org.
The Sunday study group is from 5pm to 9pm. You can join in person at David’s house or online at http://tcncraft.dyndns.org.
The book details for the CompTIA Linux+ Study Guide is below and it is expected that you've either read the chapter from the book are that you’re fairly familiar with the material it touches on.
CompTIA Linux+ Study Guide
Publication Date: January 14, 2013
ISBN-10: 1118531744
ISBN-13: 978-1118531747
The goal of this Study Group is to pass the LPIC 102 exam. All material covered also applies to the ComTIA Linux+ and the SUSE Certified Linux Administrator exams. So, even if you don’t plan on taking the LPIC exams, the material is still very useful.
