Hi All,=20
As of right now we have 3 people that have RSVP'd. We still need one more R=
SVP for the class to be worth attending. As David mentioned before, the cla=
ss is PWYC so if you can't afford the $128, donate a couple hours of time t=
o SFS or better yet, teach a class for SFS instead of worrying about the mo=
ney!=20
If we can't get at least one more RSVP, we'll have to cancel and no one wan=
ts that. Canceled classes make kittens unhappy and unicorns cry.=20

On Saturday July 9th, the Software Freedom School will be hosting Mike Harr=
is' Penetrations and Remediation's class. This is a great class for anyone =
interested in system security for their Linux hosts.=20
Class Summary:=20
The past three years have been some of the craziest times in computer secur=
ity. It is now common for major vulnerabilities to have a pretty name attac=
hed to them (thanks PR), vulnerabilities have been found in some of our (pr=
eviously) most trusted protocols (SSL), and huge vulnerabilities are occurr=
ing each day.=20
Mike has been working primarily on the =E2=80=9Cblue-team=E2=80=9D side of =
things, that is, the defense side. A lot of times we don=E2=80=99t see the =
same thing that the =E2=80=9Cred-team=E2=80=9D sees when they are attacking=
our servers, and a lot of the time, we don=E2=80=99t know the real impact =
that some of the vulnerabilities have on the systems we have been trusted t=
o defend.=20
Cost for this class is $128 per student but, as always, we are offering the=
