Hi, Will -- Thanks! Unfortunately, that Geocities Ruby page is over a deca=
de old (2005), and refers to an old, very obsolete Ruby vT1.8.2 which never=
worked very well.

Current Ruby on VMS is v2.2.2, with several "VMS vs. Unix" port/incompatibi=
lity issues resolved... I know, because I've been the primary tester. I ga=
ve an update presentation on this release/port, together with Brett Cameron=
, the VSI software engineer who did the port, to the OpenVMS Boot Camp 2016=
conference last September in Nashua NH -- well received by the VMS crowd! =
I'm busy (as a background task) in writing a number of sys-mgr and applica=
tion tools in Ruby to show it off in the VMS o/s environment -- it's as use=
ful there as it is on Linux, etc.

And no, I'm not much of a Rails guy ;-) -- I pretty much loathe website dev=
elopment, and focus my work with Ruby on more interesting and productive pu=
rsuits! ;-)
