The server will be around for you to play with for most of Saturday. If, however, you'd like to install Nextcloud on a server of your own, that would be awesome too! If you go this route (which means you get to keep your Nextcloud server!), please be prepared with an Ubuntu 16.04 server and ensure that it's publicly accessible. Also, having a public DNS name that resolves to the server and opening it up to ports 80 & 443 will ensure that we can generate an SSL certificate for it using Let's Encrypt!. Yesterday, Bitcoin broke 10K. Today, instead of correcting, it surged to 11K. To put it another way the dollar is now worth less than 0.0001 BTC.

Did you know that Bitcoin is free software?

In 2015, we taught A Gentle Hands-On Intro to Bitcoin. We gave every student 7 mBTC (0.007 BTC). At that time, it was a gift of a few bucks. For those smart enough not to lose the wallet, that gift has grown to more than $70.

In 2016, we had dinner at Southern Hospitality for about $30 and paid in Bitcoin. The food was delicious, and is now valued at $984.

We have paid two professionals in Bitcoin.

It's good to know that the payments we give and receive, hold value well.

I'm proud that SFS participates in the Bitcoin experiment.

This is a good time for a r3VOLution.
