I am a little old school on this. We use Zimbra in the office, and have
issues with regular client config. So, I have to use the web client,
which is competent but IMHO no replacement for a desktop client
(Thunderbird, Evolution, Outlook, etc)

My suggestion is set up OpenLDAP in a SQL config. Then i use GOsa as an
admin console for Mail, Address book, FTP success, etc. There are tons
of tutorials on Google demonstrating single sign on. Once the accounts
are there... And Email Server will work perfectly.
