[SFS] Of many things: fishes, GitLab, and DevOps

I am replacing fishes.sofree.us with a new machine. My plan is to automatically give an account to everyone that is a member of the SoFreeUs group on GitLab.com. So, you'll have a shell account, cron, user-web, all that old-fashioned stuph. Probably not inbound mail, though. One day, I'll probably replace fishes with a bunch of machines of different flavors, call them red-fish (Debian), blue-fish (Fedora), and so on. Not this time, though. This time, it's just one Ubuntu box.

I'm also replacing zimbra.sofree.us. If you want an @SoFree.Us address and a Zimbra mailbox, LMK. Zimbra's pretty awesome. It has mail, calendar, files, and everything is share-able. As Nextcloud is to Google Drive, Zimbra is to MS Exchange.

I'm (re)delivering the last chapter of my Intro to GitLab class Wednesday night. Lots of GitLab CI and gabbing about CICD in general. If you want to join in that, LMK, and I'll give you some things to do to be ready.

Intro to DevOps, written by Aaron, delivered by Silvia, Anthony, and Aaron, is this Saturday. It's a great class. If you're looking for a way to get your feet wet (to the hips) with DevOps, this is a perfect way to do that in six or eight hours. My goodness, you touch so much stuph in that class; it's awesome. I think: 15 seats left at $256, scholarships from F5, and PWYC is an option.

I hope your May is going great. Mine is.
